The Art of Stephanie Lyn Milite Welcomes You

Illustrator. Sculptor. Storyteller.

Bio and Artist Statement

I create sculptures, paintings, and illustrations that contain fantastical elements as well as ethereal hidden meanings. The goal I hold to my work is to help unveil the connection between our everyday life and our lucid dreams in order to accomplish what we all as individuals desire most; to find out what our purpose in life truly is. I wholeheartedly believe that we are sent messages through our dreams from the universe and loved one that have passed on through symbols and signs, telling us how we are supposed to live our lives accordingly and to its fullest potential, and to give us comfort during times of uncertainty. I feel it’s my job to discover what my dreams are trying to tell me, and interpret them in my art pieces to use as an example to my audience to show that we all have a divine calling in life; and that regardless of how old we become, life is full of magic and miracles. It's just up to us to be fully aware and open to the signs that are being shown to us in our waking life as well as our lucid dreams. I get all of my inspiration for my pieces from my life. This includes family, friends, and the hardships I as well as loved ones have gone through. For almost a year now, I have been teaching myself the practice of lucid dreaming and how to uncover their secret meanings to help guide me through my life. I am also inspired by religion, gregorian chants, as well as artists like Florin Ion Firimita, Joe Fenton, and Thomas Kinkade. From the second I wake up, I record my dreams. Even if they are short and confusing, I write them down regardless. From then on, I piece together what I went through while in my dream state and bring those events back to life again through my pieces.
